Just a wee bit about this site and the people involved!!
This pages and there will be more, are being developed as we are being constantly told by family and friends to get a web site up and running to show our work, so here it is!!!
Like all woodturning projects these pages will change direction in the process and may not end up as first envisaged.
I started woodturning approximately the start of 2006 and I really enjoy it and will talk on the subject tirelessly, but what I do have to say is I would be no where near the stage I am at now if it were not for my old woodturning friend Les who has patiently put up with me and I can only thank him enough for doing so.
Each section of wood is carefully turned and crafted to produce an individual piece of work with a quality finish. A vast range of products from pens and pencils, flute goblets, wine bottle stoppers, to a variety of small or larger bowls and trinkets for use or as decorative ornamental purposes.
A large selection of woods are used to create an unusual and individual finish including purplehart, bubinga, cocobolo, tulip wood, padauk, rosewood,bocote, cedar, cherry, red oak and home grown timber that is free and beech !Pens and pencil sets can be personalised with clips in the style of a plain band or Golf, Fishing, Rifle, Soccer and Tennis. The turnings we do are not made to order but are creations made up in our heads, sometimes it works out right other times the shape develops as we go along, anyway I hope you like them.
